Driver interview and assessment procedure

The potential employee would usually contact us by telephone in reply to an advert.
At this stage, a few details would be taken and an interview would be arranged.

During the interview the applicants qualifications and experience is discussed. This would be to determine whether or not the applicant would be suitable for the position.
|
|
|
|
|
All the information gathered from the interview would be recorded on the drivers interview and assessment form.
|
|
|
|
|
The applicant would then be asked to sit a short written test, to establish whether they are familiar with the driver’s hours, rules and tachograph regulations.
|
|
|
|
|
The next stage is to contact the applicant and inform him that if he passes a short driving assessment (this will ensure that the applicant can drive a LGV vehicle competently and safely) he will be employed on a twelve-week probationary period.
